Softball Recap: Kankakee Valley Comes Up Short

Kankakee Valley lost against Highland back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Kougars fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 4-3. The Kougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Madalynn Hemphill made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Kankakee Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Highland, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.

Looking ahead, Kankakee Valley will head out to square off against McCutcheon at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Kougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mavericks have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Highland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bethesda Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
