Basketball Recap: Seymour Takes a Loss

Seymour lost against West De Pere back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Seymour Thunder were outmatched by the West De Pere Phantoms and fell 88-38. While losing is never fun, the Thunder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Phantoms are ranked 39th).

Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for West De Pere, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seymour will venture away from home to take on Menominee at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West De Pere, they will take on Kimberly at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Kimberly knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 games -- so hopefully West De Pere likes a good challenge.
