Volleyball Recap: Lehi Wins High-Profile Match Against Riverton

On Tuesday, Lehi faced Riverton in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Lehi Pioneers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Riverton Silverwolves. For the Pioneers, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Silverwolves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 26-24, 20-25, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, Riverton saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kingsley Tufuga had 11 digs. The dominant performance gave Tufuga a new career-high in digs. Levi White also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

The win (which was Lehi's sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. As for Riverton, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lehi will face off against Layton Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Riverton, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Corner Canyon at 6:30 p.m. This will be Riverton's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
