There's no place like home for Channel Islands, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Fillmore Flashes by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Flashes: they've now won six in a row.

Channel Islands had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 25-21, 25-23, 25-19.

Brandon Romero paced Channel Islands' offense, picking up 22 kills. Romero got some help from Daniel Miranda and his 47 assists. Gabriel Malit controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Channel Islands' victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Fillmore, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Looking ahead, Channel Islands will challenge Del Sol at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fillmore, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Ventura on the 16th.
