Soccer Game Preview: O'Connor vs. Harlan

O'Connor is 1-9 against Harlan since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Panthers will welcome the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

O'Connor took a three-goal loss the last time they faced off against Sotomayor, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the WILDCATS 2-1 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Harlan hasn't lost a match since January 10th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They never let Brennan get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Harlan's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 117th, while Brennan are ranked 392nd).

Harlan hit Brennan with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Marcus Saa, Ethan Araujo, and Aiden Jackson.

Harlan is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those nine contests. As for O'Connor, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8-4.
