Basketball Recap: Northwood Panthers vs. Patrick Henry Rebels
After flying high against Honaker last Tuesday, Northwood came back down to earth. The Northwood Panthers were outmatched by the Patrick Henry Rebels and fell 88-38. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 75-41 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.
Patrick Henry found their leader in sophomore Jeb Stewart, who went 11 of 13 on his way to 27 points in addition to five boards and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stewart has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Caywood, who went 7 for 10 en route to 18 points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Northwood's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Patrick Henry, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.
Northwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-46 defeat against Chilhowie on the 28th. Patrick Henry has also already played their next game, an 81-45 victory against Holston on the 28th.
