Recap: McBee Panthers vs. Cheraw Braves
The McBee Panthers lost to the Cheraw Braves back in December of 2022, but the McBee Panthers didn't allow the Cheraw Braves the same satisfaction on Thursday. McBee enjoyed a cozy 44-29 victory over Cheraw. Given McBee's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Cheraw is ranked 241st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
McBee's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jakari Holloman, who scored 13 points along with 9 rebounds. Darrell Harper was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 5 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for McBee and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Cheraw, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McBee will take on Chesterfield at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Cheraw won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Marlboro County at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Marlboro County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Wednesday.
