Glastonbury faced Enfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Guardians blew past the Eagles 3-0. The Guardians haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Glastonbury got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-19, 32-30.

Among those leading the charge was Alex Niland, who had eight digs and five aces. That's the most aces he has posted since back in April of 2024. Jackson Ennis also deserves some recognition as he had his first dig of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Glastonbury was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive games.

Despite the defeat, Enfield had strong showings from Nathan Merrill, who had ten digs, and Jacob Bellafronte, who had three digs and two aces. Bellafronte is also crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season.

Glastonbury's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Enfield, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Glastonbury has already played their next match (against South Windsor), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Enfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Hall on the 14th.
