Soccer Game Preview: Hudson vs. Austintown-Fitch

The Hudson Explorers will take on the Austintown-Fitch Falcons in a tournament on Wednesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Hudson is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering North Royalton just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Austintown-Fitch fell victim to Aurora and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Greenmen. While losing is never fun, Austintown-Fitch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 161st, while Aurora are ranked 24th).

Hudson's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4-2. As for Austintown-Fitch, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9-1.

Everything went Hudson's way against Austintown-Fitch when the teams last played back in October of 2023, as Hudson made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Explorers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
