Baseball Recap: Denver Christian Beats Front Range Christian for Their Third Straight Win

Denver Christian waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Front Range Christian Falcons get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Thunder, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Caleb Stork made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Stork was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nate Bovasso, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Denver Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Charlie Davy also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Denver Christian's record is now 12-6. As for Front Range Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Denver Christian will welcome Monte Vista at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Thunder 3.6, the Pirates 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Front Range Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Byers at 4:00 p.m.
