It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but The Classical Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Elizabeth Cardinals, sneaking past 2-1. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Chase Rorabaugh looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Zack Hale was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was CJ Mullen, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base and one double.

The Classical Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elizabeth only managed six hits.

The Classical Academy's record now sits at 16-4. As for Elizabeth, they moved to 16-4 with that defeat, which also ended their ten-game winning streak.

The Classical Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cardinals: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
