Montezuma-Cortez's 22-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell victim to a tough 17-3 defeat at the hands of the Eaton Reds on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Montezuma-Cortez of the 7-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Montezuma-Cortez saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bobby Likes, who went 1-for-1 with an RBI.
