Baseball Recap: Academy of Science and Innovation Takes a Loss

After flying high against Weaver on Wednesday, Academy of Science and Innovation came back down to earth. The Ravens fell just short of the Parish Hill Pirates by a score of 8-7 on Saturday. The Ravens were not able to make up for their loss to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Academy of Science and Innovation saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was J Torres, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. The Ravens are 2-1 when Torres posts two or more runs, but 2-12 otherwise.

Academy of Science and Innovation dropped their record down to 4-13 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Parish Hill, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-9.

While Academy of Science and Innovation had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
