Softball Preview: West Florence Knights vs. Hartsville Red Foxes        
        
		
            
 The West Florence Knights will be playing at home against the Hartsville Red Foxes at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (West Florence: 1.6, Hartsville: 3.4) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
 West Florence stacked  a  fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Wilson 16-1. West Florence's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
  Annie Ruth Eliason made a big impact no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit over four innings pitched. Eliason was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with three  doubles and three  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Mia Boykin was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Charisma Williams, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Hartsville narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past North Myrtle Beach  4-3. The  victory was just what Hartsville needed coming off of  a  6-0 defeat in their prior  matchup.
  Elena Mathys spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks.
 At the plate,  Mary Ellen Hickey was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run and a  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Carter Shumate, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
 West Florence pushed their record up to 8-3 with that  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.3 runs per game. As for Hartsville, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
 Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging  on Tuesday. West Florence hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season,  having  averaged 0.4  home runs per game. However, it's not like Hartsville struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 0.4. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
 West Florence took their  win against Hartsville  when the teams last played  back in March by a conclusive  9-1. Does  West Florence have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hartsville turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
