Basketball Game Preview: Champlain Valley Union Redhawks vs. St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers

The Champlain Valley Union Redhawks will square off against the St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Champlain Valley Union sitting on three straight victories and St. Johnsbury Academy on 13.

Last Tuesday, Champlain Valley Union didn't have too much trouble with South Burlington as they won 54-35.

Meanwhile, St. Johnsbury Academy faced Mt. Mansfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. St. Johnsbury Academy walked away with a 54-43 win over Mt. Mansfield.

Champlain Valley Union pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points per game. As for St. Johnsbury Academy, their record is now 13-0.

Champlain Valley Union came up short against St. Johnsbury Academy in their previous matchup back in January, falling 54-45. Can Champlain Valley Union avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
