Arlington never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They blew past the Bartlett Panthers 10-0. Considering the Tigers have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Brittanie Layton was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last eight games. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rory Caldwell, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. McKenzie Walker was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
