Football Game Preview: Benjamin Russell Wildcats vs. Percy Julian Phoenix + How To Watch

The Benjamin Russell Wildcats will face off against the Percy Julian Phoenix at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Benjamin Russell will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

On Friday, Benjamin Russell made easy work of Chelsea and carried off a 42-21 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Benjamin Russell's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jyque Norris, who rushed for 131 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Norris a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of B.J. Bedgood, who picked up 141 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, Percy Julian earned a 14-7 win over Park Crossing on Friday. The Phoenix haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Percy Julian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jayden Garrett and Demone Porter Jr.

Percy Julian's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Benjamin Russell, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Friday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. Benjamin Russell has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 176.2 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Percy Julian, though, as they've been averaging only 63.1 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?

Benjamin Russell came up short against Percy Julian when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 19-13. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
