Volleyball Game Preview: Reavis Rams vs. Lemont Lemont HS

Reavis and Lemont are an even 4-4 against one another since May of 2021, but not for long. The Rams will head out on the road to take on the Lemont HS at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Reavis will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak.

On Monday, Reavis was able to grind out a solid win over Crete-Monee, taking the game 2-0.

Reavis easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Lemont didn't have quite enough to beat Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South on Thursday and fell 2-1. The Lemont HS have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lemont started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 27-29, 25-21, 25-22.

Lemont's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Reavis, their victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-2.

Reavis was able to grind out a solid win over Lemont in their previous meeting back in March, winning 2-0. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Lemont HS have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
