Akhir Harris Tops All Others This Week

Starting off the list is Sierra Linda's Akhir Harris, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Harris made 16 total tackles.

Jayden Quick Turns in Season-Best Performance

Sadly, Jayden Quick posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead La Joya Community over Gila Ridge on Thursday. Quick picked up 103 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 87 yards.

La Joya Community's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-7. Quick and La Joya Community will square off against Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
