Softball Game Preview: Sparta Academy Warriors vs. Atmore Christian Rams

The Sparta Academy Warriors will take on the Atmore Christian Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Sparta Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Things were looking good for Sparta Academy after they put the first points on the board last Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Cornerstone Christian, falling 21-1.

Meanwhile, everything went Atmore Christian's way against East Hill Christian on Tuesday as Atmore Christian made off with an 18-7 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

The team relied heavily on Tamra Stoltzfus, who scored four runs and stole Five bases. while going 4-for-5. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Amanda Morris, who scored two runs and stole Six bases. while going 2-for-4.

Stoltzfus wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Atmore Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Sparta Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Atmore Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
