Volleyball Game Preview: Reseda Regents vs. Sylmar Spartans

The Reseda Regents will head out on the road to square off against the Sylmar Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Reseda is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Reseda and Canoga Park, and Reseda kept the tradition alive. Reseda was the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Canoga Park on Monday.

Reseda walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Sylmar came up short against Kennedy on Wednesday and fell 3-1.

While Sylmar had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 17-25, 25-19, 25-23.

Reseda's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for Sylmar, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-8.

Reseda suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Sylmar in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Reseda avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
