Basketball Recap: Elkhorn's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Elkhorn entered their contest against Oregon on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Elkhorn Elks took a 67-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oregon Panthers. The Elks were probably out for revenge after losing 63-57 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Elkhorn's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2. As for Oregon, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-2.

When Elkhorn and Oregon next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Elkhorn will try to stop Janesville Craig's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Meanwhile, Oregon will square off against Verona and their six-game winning streak at 3:00 p.m. on December 28th.
