Baseball Game Preview: Bryant Hurricanes vs. Baker Hornets

For the first time this season, Bryant will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing at home against the Baker Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Bryant is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Fairhope just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 10-6 to the Pirates.

Meanwhile, Baker fell victim to Cottage Hill Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Hornets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Bryant's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Baker, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-10.

Bryant couldn't quite get it done against Baker in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Hurricanes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
