Baseball Game Preview: Frederick Gunn Highlanders vs. Millbrook School Mustangs

The Frederick Gunn Highlanders will venture away from home to challenge the Millbrook School Mustangs at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Frederick Gunn is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Saturday, Frederick Gunn came up short against Suffield Academy and fell 10-5.

Josh Trager Jr was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run. That run marked the first that he has scored this season.

Meanwhile, Millbrook School was able to grind out a solid victory over Pomfret School on Saturday, taking the game 5-2. That's two games straight that the Mustangs have won by exactly three runs.

The win made it two in a row for Millbrook School and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Frederick Gunn, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Frederick Gunn suffered a grim 11-3 defeat to Millbrook School when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Highlanders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
