Basketball Recap: Global Outreach Charter Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Azirah Phillips and Quetiushka Rivera

Global Outreach Charter Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 57-42 to the KIPP Bold City Greyhounds. The Kodiaks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Greyhounds earlier this season, when they won 46-39.

Global Outreach Charter Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Quetiushka Rivera and Azirah Phillips. Rivera posted 20 points, while Phillips earned 15 points.

Raniya Lawson was nothing short of spectacular for KIPP Bold City: she had 32 points. Those 32 points gave Lawson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniyah Marshall, who scored 12 points.

Global Outreach Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for KIPP Bold City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-13.

Global Outreach Charter Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 54-19 victory against St. Johns Classical Academy on the 30th. As for KIPP Bold City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Raines on the 30th.
