Baseball Recap: Pojoaque Valley Takes a Loss

Pojoaque Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Bernalillo Spartans, falling 20-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Elks/Elkettes of the 9-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Pojoaque Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Torres, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Pojoaque Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Bernalillo, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Pojoaque Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 27-13 win against Raton on the 6th. As for Bernalillo, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-2 victory against Capital on the 6th.
