Basketball Game Preview: Center Hill Mustangs vs. Rosa Fort Lions

Having just played yesterday, the Center Hill Mustangs will get right back to it and host the Rosa Fort Lions at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Center Hill came up short against Holly Springs and fell 65-56.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Rosa Fort duked it out with Charleston on Thursday. The Lions walked away with a 77-64 victory over the Tigers. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Center Hill better focus on containing Takaedrius Maxwell and Robert Boyd as the pair were huge in Rosa Fort's win. Maxwell posted 29 points and three steals, while Boyd put up 23 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Boyd has posted since back in December of 2024. Trishaun Jones was another key player, putting up 12 points and six boards.

Center Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Rosa Fort, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Center Hill and Rosa Fort were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in December of 2015, but Center Hill came up empty-handed after a 58-57 loss.
