Volleyball Recap: Classical Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Classical was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Prout on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Purple lost 3-0 to the North Kingstown Skippers on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Purple in their meetings with the Skippers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Classical was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 25-12.

Amaya Womack paced Classical's offense, picking up five kills. Womack got some help from Dara Agramonte and her 11 assists. Monoluwa Adeniyi controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Classical's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for North Kingstown, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Classical didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Coventry on the 24th. As for North Kingstown, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chariho at 6:00 p.m. on October 10.
