After a string of four wins, Crockett County's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They received a blow as they fell 49-33 to the South Gibson Hornets. The game marked the Cavaliers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

South Gibson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Karson Dunn out in front who went 5 of 11 en route to 12 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Dunn has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Trinity Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.

Crockett County's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-5. As for South Gibson, their win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-5.

Crockett County will head out to challenge Dyersburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Gibson has already played their next contest (against Dyer County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
