Mifflin falls despite strong effort from John Glover

Recap: Mifflin Punchers vs. Linden-McKinley Panthers

After a string of four wins, the Mifflin Punchers's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell to Linden-McKinley 60-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Despite the loss, Mifflin still got an impressive performance from John Glover, who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds. Glover is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Bj Woody, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.

Mifflin has fallen quite a ways from their 16-7 record last season and are now at 5-8. As for Linden-McKinley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Mifflin won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Northland at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Northland presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mifflin in Ohio (Northland is ranked 179th, while Mifflin is ranked 524th). Linden-McKinley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Columbus International at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Columbus International is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
