Softball Recap: ESTEM Mets vs. Maumelle Charter Falcons
ESTEM extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 14 on Monday, dropping them down to 0-8. They lost 18-3 to the Maumelle Charter Falcons. The Mets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.
As for Maumelle Charter, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.
For Maumelle Charter's part, Kaylie Diffenderfer made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off only one hit. Diffenderfer was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. She also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Maumelle Charter got a massive performance out of Taytum Vire, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base.
