It was a good run, but Tri-Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 6-2 to the Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones.

Tri-Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoey Whittaker, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Addy Freihaut was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Tri-Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 15-3-1. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Tri-Valley will head out on the road to take on Tolono Unity at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, they will take on Jacksonville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cyclones' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crimsons have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
