Leesville Road came tearing into Monday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Willow Spring Storm.

Jack Fields looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brett Kutner, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Hepp, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Leesville Road pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Willow Spring, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
