Baseball Recap: East Iberville Takes a Loss

If East Iberville was riding high fresh off their 19-5 takedown of North Iberville last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers came up short against Ascension Christian on Tuesday, falling 15-2. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to Ascension Christian from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

East Iberville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Melancon, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

East Iberville has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for Ascension Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.

East Iberville will square off against Southern Lab at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ascension Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
