Soccer Recap: McMinn County Comes Up Short

The McMinn County Cherokees didn't have quite enough to beat the Lenoir City Panthers on Thursday and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, McMinn County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Lenoir City are ranked 100th).

This is the second loss in a row for McMinn County and nudges their season record down to 4-10. As for Lenoir City, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-7-2.

Coming up, McMinn County will head out to challenge Walker Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lenoir City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
