Football Game Preview: GRACE Christian Eagles vs. Asheville Christian Academy Lions + How To Watch

The GRACE Christian Eagles will face off against the Asheville Christian Academy Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in GRACE Christian's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Asheville Christian Academy has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

GRACE Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against South Carolina S on Saturday as they made off with a 72-50 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five games by 22 points or more so far this season.

Francis Jennings was his usual excellent self, rushing for 238 yards and five TDs on only 15 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 59 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Josiah Waters was another key player, throwing for 166 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: GRACE Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 284 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Asheville Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 23-19 to Greenville H. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 394th in North Carolina, while the Hurricanes are ranked 177th in South Carolina).

GRACE Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Asheville Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
