Basketball Recap: Buckingham Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

Buckingham's game on Wednesday was all tied up 30-30 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They secured a 62-56 W over the Appomattox County Raiders. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Raiders two weeks ago, they had to take a 64-51 defeat.

Buckingham has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points per game. As for Appomattox County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-6.

Buckingham will square off against Cumberland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Buckingham is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Appomattox County, they will take on Altavista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Altavista has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
