Inderkum waltzed into their matchup on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They had just enough and edged out the Rio Americano Raiders 20-17. The 20-point effort marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The critical scores for Inderkum came from Asaiah Gibbons, Jordan Cole, and Jacob Stoll.

Loss or not, Rio Americano got some senior leadership from Ryder Trantham and Devin Pointes. Trantham threw for 135 yards and one touchdown, while Pointes picked up 114 receiving yards and one TD. The Raiders are 3-1 when Pointes posts 80 or more receiving yards, but 2-3 otherwise.

Inderkum's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Rio Americano, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Inderkum and Rio Americano should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Tigers (ranked 63rd) will meet Ponderosa (ranked 208th) at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Rio Americano will take on Christian Brothers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (178 vs. 474).
