After each having a week off, the Torrington Trailblazers and the Yuma Outlaws will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Torrington is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wyoming's top teams: Wheatland, who was ranked 20th in their home state at the time (Torrington was ranked 11th). Torrington was the clear victor by a 26-6 margin over Wheatland last Friday.

Meanwhile, after only six points in their last match, Yuma made sure to put some points up on the board against Roaring Fork last Friday. Yuma claimed a resounding 50-7 victory over Roaring Fork on the road. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Outlaws as it put an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Yuma got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jonathan Thomson out in front who rushed for 114 yards on only 13 carries. Thomson's longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Adrian Carranza was in the mix as well, providing Yuma with two touchdowns.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Yuma was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 241 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Roaring Fork only rushed for 67.

Yuma's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged five passes before it was all said and done. Thomson led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by himself.

The win got Torrington back to even at 1-1. As for Yuma, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.
