Notre Dame is a perfect 3-0 against Lafayette since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Notre Dame Pioneers will look to defend their home field against the Lafayette Lions at 3:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Notre Dame is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Beau Chene as Notre Dame made off with an 11-1 victory.

Madaline Johnson looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Malayna Daigle, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Lillian Guidry was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, Lafayette put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their undefeated season alive. They didn't even let Westgate on the board, marking Lafayette's second-straight 19-0 shutout. Considering the Lions have won four matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Lauren Williams looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Ansylie Mayon was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Heidi Ewing, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Lafayette always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .704. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .529 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Notre Dame took their win against Lafayette in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 16-5. Will Notre Dame repeat their success, or does Lafayette have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
