With a playoff win on the line, Park Tudor rose to the challenge on Saturday. They skirted past the Covenant Christian Warriors 15-14. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Desmond Francis, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Derek Ai, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Park Tudor kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Park Tudor and bumps their season record up to 14-9. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Covenant Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-12.

Looking ahead, Park Tudor will face off against University at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trailblazers have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. Covenant Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
