Basketball Game Preview: Nenana Lynx vs. Tri-Valley Warriors

The Nenana Lynx will head out to square off against the Tri-Valley Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Nenana is looking for their season's first victory.

Nenana's tournament run continued when they took on Craig on Saturday. Nenana was beaten by Craig 76-28.

Meanwhile, Tri-Valley lost to Birchwood Christian on the road by a 64-46 margin on Saturday. The match marked Tri-Valley's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Nenana will have to contain Michael Renshaw as he made an impact in Tri-Valley's last game. He went 7 for 15 on his way to 18 points and four steals. Renshaw is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Isaiah Mayo was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Tri-Valley and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Nenana, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Nenana suffered a grim 61-38 defeat to Tri-Valley in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Renshaw, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 16 points along with six assists and six steals.
