The Brighton Bengals will take on the West Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Brighton has 11 straight wins, West has 31 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Brighton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Highland a 21-0 shutout on Friday. The Bengals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by seven runs or more this season.
Case Beames looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alexandros Price, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cooper Scott, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Brighton hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Highland struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, West and East faced off in a cross-town battle on Friday. The Panthers came up short against the Leopards, falling 13-3.
Giovanni Rodriguez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.
Brighton's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for West, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.
Everything went Brighton's way against West in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Brighton made off with a 10-0 victory. Will the Bengals repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
