Baseball Game Preview: Stoutland Tigers vs. Vienna Eagles

The Stoutland Tigers will square off against the Vienna Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Stoutland's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Vienna's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Stoutland is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Dixon just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2.

Stoutland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Morrow, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Devin Barnwell also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Meanwhile, Vienna posted their closest victory since May 11, 2024 on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Jamestown, sneaking past 5-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Vienna's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Stoutland, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
