Volleyball Recap: Analy Picks Up 11th Straight Win at Home

Analy proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the American Canyon Wolves 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 two weeks ago.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:three sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 27-25, 24-26, 21-25, 26-24, 18-16.

Leading Analy to victory were Jorge Salgado Vega and Maddox Bray. Salgado Vega had 13 digs and two assists, while Bray had 15 digs. Those 15 digs gave Bray a new career-high.

Analy's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-5. As for American Canyon, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-4.

Analy and American Canyon should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Tigers will face off against Ukiah at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (206 vs. 867). Meanwhile, American Canyon (ranked 248th) will meet Benicia (ranked 654th) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
