Volleyball Recap: Dalton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Dalton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Cartersville Hurricanes. If the Catamounts were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Hurricanes when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17.

Dalton's offense was headlined by Karyme Smithey and Dana Gravitt, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Anjalee Lemons and her eight assists.

Leading Cartersville to victory were Mckenzie Wilkie and Emma Wall. Wilkie had ten digs and three assists, while Wall had three digs and two aces. What's more, Wall racked up 15 assists, the most she's had over her last eight games.

Dalton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Cartersville, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

Coincidentally, Dalton and Cartersville will both be playing Woodland the next time they take the court. The Catamounts will head out to face the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Hurricanes will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
