Softball Game Preview: Mapletown Maples vs. Jefferson-Morgan Rockets

Mapletown is 2-7 against Jefferson-Morgan since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Maples will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rockets at 4:15 p.m. Mapletown has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mapletown is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against West Greene, falling 11-2.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jefferson-Morgan). They blew past Bethlehem Center 17-3 on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Rockets as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jefferson-Morgan's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Mapletown, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
