Volleyball Recap: Freedom Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Northwood Temple Academy on Friday, Freedom Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Patriots fell 3-1 to the Cape Fear Christian Academy Eagles on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2021.

Freedom Christian Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-22.

Freedom Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Cape Fear Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-8.

Freedom Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Fayetteville Christian on the 16th. As for Cape Fear Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Sandhills Classical Christian on the 18th.
