Basketball Recap: Simeon Triumphs

Simeon posted their closest win since December 19, 2024 on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 56-55 photo finish over the Manual Rams. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Wolverines' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Rams are ranked 33rd).

Simeon pushed their record up to 10-8 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points over those games. As for Manual, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
