Basketball Recap: Clayton Comes Up Short

Clayton was the 51-50 winner over Sanderson when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Comets lost to the Spartans on the road by a 61-47 margin on Friday.

Clayton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sanderson, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Clayton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Calvary Day School at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Comets will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Sanderson, they will head out on the road to take on Millbrook at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
